For us, sustainability is not an empty phrase or marketing slogan. It is woven into every step of our process – from design to production, material choices and distribution. We believe that a smart and well-thought-out design naturally results in a sustainable and cost-efficient product. With Tom-Lock you choose efficiency, savings, long service life and a responsible future.

Tom-Lock is fully conceived and manufactured in the Netherlands, in one of Europe’s most sustainable metalworking factories. Thanks to our advanced production methods, components from different orders are cut as efficiently as possible from every aluminium sheet. And because of our local production, parts don’t have to be transported halfway around the world.

Our installations consist of 95% aluminium – and that’s a deliberate choice. Pressed aluminium is extremely strong, corrosion-resistant and lightweight. This means our installations last significantly longer and, thanks to the lower weight, your van uses less energy.

Our systems can last up to three van lifetimes and are easy to transfer. Everything is built so it can be easily dismantled and repaired – simply with bolts and screws. This also makes it easy to reconfigure into a different layout. And at our dealer network you can have your installation transferred into a new vehicle.
A Tom-Lock installation is robust and practically indestructible, but if something does break, you don’t need to replace the whole system because all parts can be ordered separately. We continuously innovate, but we never change the core of our system so you can keep expanding, repairing and reconfiguring your installation in the future. All of this makes Tom-Lock not only great for the environment but also for your wallet.

Aluminium is one of the most sustainable materials in the world. During recycling, only about 5 % of the energy needed to produce primary aluminium is used, yet 100 % of the material properties are retained.
The recycling of 1 tonne of aluminium saves 6 tonnes of bauxite and prevents 9 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. Worldwide, aluminium recycling leads to a CO₂ reduction of more than 100 million tonnes per year.
Because our system is so strong, drawers and shelves can be made up to 1.20 meters wide. Wider modules are better because they not only provide more overview but also reduce the number of drawer slides and vertical dividers needed, saving weight and cost. The handle with release runs across the full width of the drawer, so you never have to reach far and can often open the drawer from the outside.
