Mischa Koops has been in the business of commercial vehicle design since 1989. In 2002, he started BIW (Bedrijfswagen Inrichting West) and FBI (Friesland Bedrijfswageninrichting) followed in 2017.
Nout van Heumen is a creative industrial designer and inventor who has been designing smart products for 20 years, from espresso machines to wobble-free patio tables — always with a quirky twist.
In 2019, Mischa and Nout joined forces to develop the most functional and sustainable company car furnishing system in Europe: Tom-Lock. No unnecessary or vulnerable parts, super strong and easy to transfer to a new vehicle. After 15 years? Fully recyclable. After two years of development and testing in forty vehicles, Tom-Lock really started in 2021. Hundreds of mechanics are now driving around with it and more and more fleet owners are opting for this smart, robust interior.
